Last but not least this was a last-minute choice to put on my album. I heard the track and felt it fit the vibe I needed. I thought it would be a great closer. A lil mellow. I felt inspired by J Dilla in some sense but also I decided to sing runs and speed up my vocals, like I'm being sampled. I know Kanye has done that, so why the hell not? I feel liberated just choosing this track to be my finale.
lyrics
Break the boundaries down
Break the boundaries down
Break the boundaries down
Break the boundaries down
No change to restrain me
Been helping everybody but myself
Just got let go from the place that I called home
But not anymore, been depriving self-lovin
Into my system
Got to rearrange priorities
Got up in responsibilities
See I know I don’t need anyone
Got to do what’s best not second guess
I won’t cry no more, trade in the frown I used to wear
And share my smile upon my face
In liberation
Gonna free myself from this prison
Let the people know I have risen
Above my inner state
In liberation, challenging myself to new ambition
Face a new path I have given
Thank God I just keep on living
Living
Living
Break the boundaries down
Break the boundaries down
Break the boundaries down
Break the boundaries down
Love or hate me
No middle ground can’t
Break the impossible
I found that I’m unstoppable
My extremes make it
Probable that I will be back, liberating
Minds on my wavelength can be exhilarating
But I shall be invigorating strength to survive
I’ll make it out alive, 20 seconds to reply
Until next time, I’ll catch you at my prime
